What does a wedding at Willow Woods cost?

The Traditional package is from $199 per person and the Premium package is from $239 per person, plus applicable sales tax. There is no service charge. Forty guests on Premium, with dinner served, comes to roughly $9,600 before tax — against a field of comparable venues near Lake Arrowhead that starts around $23,000.

Is there a separate venue rental fee?

No. The per-person price is the venue. Most venues on this mountain quote a site fee first and then add everything else to it; here there is one number, and the day is built on it.

What is included in the Traditional package?

5 hours of the property to yourselves, ceremony and reception set-up before you arrive, tables and chairs, white, ivory, or black linens and napkins, non-alcoholic refreshments, day-of coordination, cake cutting and serving, and complete clean-up and breakdown afterwards. Catering is the one thing it does not include.

What does the Premium package add?

Dinner, chiefly, and you choose which one. The LouEddie's pizza experience is a journey through the restaurant's famous artisan menu. The secret menu, from the same kitchen, is a buffet of two hand-carved proteins and three sides. Either is brought out by professional wait staff. It also adds a 6th hour, upgraded colored linens and napkins, a wider selection of non-alcoholic refreshments, and a one-hour rehearsal.

Is anything added to the per-person price?

Sales tax, and nothing else. There is no service charge and no site fee, so the per-person figure plus tax is what you pay — nothing is waiting on the final invoice.

How many guests can you take?

Thirty is the usual minimum, eighty is where the park is at its best, and a hundred is the absolute ceiling. The Traditional package runs to 75 guests and Premium to 80. Both ends of that range sit well here — a micro wedding feels intimate rather than sparse, and a full guest list comfortable rather than crammed. If your list is shorter than thirty, ask anyway — exceptions get made.

What is the property actually like?

Old-growth forest, garden paths, and the original log cabins from the logging camp — two of them dressing rooms on the day. Lights are strung through the branches for the evening, and there is an arch with a waterfall behind it where couples say their vows.

May through October. That is when this mountain is at its finest — long light through the canopy, evenings warm enough to dance in — and it is why those weekends book first. Come with a date range rather than a single Saturday and we will tell you what is still open in it.

Can we stay on the property?

No — nobody stays overnight at the park, the couple included. Two of the cabins left behind by the logging camp are yours as dressing rooms on the day, but the night is spent in Lake Arrowhead, five minutes down the road, which has the full range of hotels, inns, and rentals.

What is parking like?

There is parking on site, but it is limited, and there is an overflow turnout on Highway 18. For a full guest list it is worth planning arrivals properly, and we will walk you through it when you book.

How far is it from Lake Arrowhead and from Los Angeles?

About a mile from Lake Arrowhead — five minutes by car — and seventy-five miles east of Los Angeles, at 5,741 feet in the San Bernardino Mountains. The address is 28561 State Hwy 18, Skyforest, CA 92385.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes. Willow Woods is pet-friendly — this is forest and garden paths rather than a ballroom, and a dog belongs in it in a way it never belongs on a hotel carpet.

Who does the catering?

LouEddie's, the family's own pizza restaurant, which sits on the same property and is run by the same people who run the park. It is where the food and the service staff come from, and guests mention the pizza unprompted in their reviews. On the Premium package, dinner is one of two menus: the pizza, as a journey through the whole artisan menu, or a secret menu of two hand-carved proteins and three sides.

Can we bring our own caterer or vendors?

Yes. Outside vendors are permitted and we keep a recommended list built up over nearly two decades on this mountain. An outside caterer needs our approval in advance, so send us the name as soon as you have one. On the Traditional package catering is yours to arrange in any case; on Premium the meal is already included.

Can we serve alcohol?

Beer and wine, yes. Spirits, no. Willow Woods sits in a residential forest community, and the policy is part of how it stays a good neighbor in one.

Are there vegan and gluten-free options?

Yes. LouEddie's cooks vegan and gluten-free as a matter of course rather than as a special request. Tell us the numbers and the specifics when you book.

How late can the music play?

All music goes off at nine o'clock sharp. This way everybody gets home safe, and nobody's night has to end with the last song. Lake Arrowhead Village is five minutes down the road, with bars and restaurants open for anyone who wants to keep the night going.

Can we see the place before we commit?

Yes, and you should. Tours are free, take about an hour, and are by appointment — you can pick an open time yourself on the Book a tour page. Katie, our lead coordinator, gives every tour: bring whoever is helping you plan, and she will show you where the ceremony, the dinner, and the dancing would actually go.

How far in advance should we book?

The May-through-October weekends go quickly, so get in touch as soon as you have a date range in mind. If your timeline is shorter than that, ask anyway and we will tell you what is still open.

What should we put in the first message?

The type of event, your date or date range, roughly how many guests, and your vision. That is enough for us to come back with availability and a real number rather than a brochure.

Can we get in touch while we are still comparing venues?

Of course. Most inquiries arrive well before a decision, and an honest conversation about guest counts and budget is the fastest way to work out whether this is your venue or not.
